Report from Club Meeting 12th August 2024

An enjoyable meeting last night was attended by 12 members. A variety of tree species of differing standard were brought in ranging from Berice’s chinese elm cutting to well established scots pines from Alan and Roy. Alan Chappell was given food for though on his larch from Kev as was Terry with his cedar. We also looked at a somewhat wayward san jose juniper for Nigel plus others including a downy birch, silver birch, hawthorn, chinese elm and a potentially very nice copper beech brought in by Mick.
Roy spoke briefly on pruning scots pines and also delivered a very favourable report on the bonsai boot sale at Staverton which he and Alan Chappell went to at the weekend.
